9Thank you for visiting my page. I have had the privilege of teaching at South Paulding Middle School for the past 19 years. I have a passion for reading, writing and learning about people around the world as well as sharing that with students. All three of my grown children attended South Paulding Middle and are graduates of Paulding County Schools. I live in this community and believe it is essential to be invested in the success of local students.
I was born and raised in Columbus, Georgia. I graduated from William Henry Shaw High School and attended and graduated from Mercer University, in Macon, Georgia. I received my Master's Degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment from Walden University. I have additional endorsements in Reading and Gifted Education. I am certified in both Language Arts and Social Studies for the Middle Grades.
I am an active member of Sanctuary in Him where I enjoy participating in small group and women's ministries. I love spending time with my three grown up children, cooking, sewing, watching old science fiction movies, and loving on my sweet fur babies. I have three cats, Dipstick, Ratchet, and Sparky, who students will hear about often.
It is my desire to improve the lives of students by giving them a love for language; the written word and a desire to know more about this world we live in. I believe that good writing opens doors of adventure and success for all students.
